Nice commentary

I think part of your problem is that the sound quality is frustrating enough that people give up on extracting meaning from the narration. I was trying to, and ultimately missed a few things. It was only after reading other reviews that I was able to put the pieces together and understand what you were going for. For example, the line about "monster tax" flew over my head in a garbled mess.

For a Flash movie whose message is so central to the viewer's enjoyment, you can't really afford poor sound quality.

If you fix the sound quality, the ratio of good reviews to asshat reviews should improve.

Disappointing

This one was really missing the "Haha, so true" factor that makes the others so funny. It only two jokes and neither of them were up to par with what I've come to expect from the Awesome series. I don't know how you managed to take the chainsaw thing too far in such a short piece, but I think you did.

Well excuuuuse me, Princess

The only thing I found particularly funny was the relatively subtle reference to the Legend of Zelda cartoon. If it was that. If not, shame on you.

Excellent movie

Wow, very good work here. It's rare to see this kind of movie on Newgrounds, and I think if there were more, the site might find itself considerably more popular than it already is.

Great plot, excellent animation, smooth presentation, good narration. The subtitles had a couple of translation errors though.

Well done

Most don't seem to do much other than grieve privately when someone close to them passes on, it's very brave of you to share this with a large group, especially a group with as many asshats as Newgrounds.

The music was fitting, but the symbolism was a bit off, I think I see what you were aiming for, but it didn't get across perfectly. Graphics are typical clock crew fare, quite decent, but not amazing. The message still gets through though mostly unharmed.

Ignore those inbred morons that made fun of this. I feel sorry for them, actually, the only way someone could be that insensitive to this kind of thing would be that they themselves have no friends.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Chocolate's all gone :( ...... I FOUND CHOCOLATE!!

Just when you think Newgrounds has matured...

Taken on it's own, this movie doesn't bother me. I'll never feel compelled to watch it again, but I can understand that some people find it funnier than I do. I don't understand the 4.39 rating I'm looking at right now, after 1616 votes.

Congratulations on somehow managing to touch on some chord in the Newgrounds audience that I'm totally oblivious too (do that many people honestly find it so funny when crap flies everywhere?) *shudder*

I laughed 3 times, and smirked twice during this movie. I spent more time waiting for it than I did enjoying it. But, I know it probably took quite a bit of effort, the sprite animation was alright, and the overall storyline wasn't bad, so I gave it a 3. If your next movie doesn't make me want to throw up for half of it, it will probably get a higher rating.

First off, it's obvious that you weren't very fond of it, most people would've given it a 0 or a 1 for that very reason. You didn't, and i really appreciate that.

I'm sorry that you didn't find it funny, but please don't hold the high score against me. I happen to take much joy in the fact that i've made people laugh and that i lit up 15 minutes of their lives with this movie. Obviously, as with every single thing in existence, it will not please everyone. Silly humor has been around for ages, it's me personal favorite kind of humor. The silly, random and down-right idiotic type of parody is what i love to watch and create.

I personally hope you'll like part 3 but i highly doubt it as it'll be in the same vein as this movie and the one before it.

Thanks. =)

Good work

Very nice. A couple of things to work on:

1. Soundtrack. The music shouldn't stop so abruptly all the time. Try to make the music blend from scene to scene. Also, compress your music a bit. That should not have been a 1.4MB movie. Flash has options in the library under the properties for each sound object to choose alternative export modes. My suggestion is to try 64Kb/s Mono.

2. Fluidity. Keep in mind that a person's entire body tends to move in any action. It's very rare for a part to remain totally static throughout an animation. Even if you just use a small loop to make the clothes rustle in the wind a bit, it looks a lot better. Think dynamic.

3. Artistic quality. You've got some art talent there (better than anything I can draw in Flash). Work on that. Practice a lot. Try to improve the look a bit with each episode. Enhance your backgrounds with a bit more detail.

Hope this is helpful.

Wow

Great stuff, a definite entry for the Stick collection.

The combination of hand drawn scenes, traditional animated scenes, and some 3D effects made the movie very fun to watch. Even the anti-stick people can't say this wasn't very well done.

not bad

Your preloader doesn't work at all. I suggest you work on it again. Also, you can test in Flash as if you were downloading the movie, by hitting Ctrl-Enter again after you've already started a preview.

The art was pretty good, but it was kind of boring. Instead of splitting it into 2 parts, you should have been patient and released the whole thing in one shot.

Also, compress your audio more. Have it export as mp3, at Mono 64Kb or something like that, it'll keep your filesize down.

Show me a useful cat, and I will show you that it is in fact a small dog.
